My name is Sarah Marie. I am wife to Charlie and a mother to four gorgeous sons, Joshua, Theodore, Zachary and Barnaby.

I have worked as a school teacher for 30 years, and more recently have taught children with special educational needs on a one to one basis. I also have a great deal of experience in leading women’s groups and bringing vulnerable people together in healing environments.

My husband Charlie is a Funeral Director, and I have supported him in his work for a number of years.

My wonderful Mum passed away 17 years ago and I had the privilege of writing and reading the eulogy at her funeral. The process of writing the eulogy and the feedback that I received made me want to explore training to be a professional Celebrant. Over the years I have had the privilege of walking alongside families who have lost children and the tragic death of a teenage suicide. Being a Funeral Celebrant is indeed a huge privilege, helping and supporting others to say goodbye in a way that authentically reflects the individual life path of the person you have lost.

I am a fully qualified Funeral Celebrant and member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants. With compassion, empathy and the ability to translate in detail, I will create a beautiful funeral service that will honour your loved one’s life and your memories. Helping to bring comfort to those left behind, I will guide you through this difficult time and create a beautiful and memorable service.
